A 44-year-old woman from Ozark was arrested for criminal trespassing, theft of property, obstructing governmental operations and criminal mischief this week after she stole three cat traps belonging to the Ozark Police Department.
Teresa Marie Putney stole the three traps that were placed by animal control officers to ctach feral cats at the request of downtown business. Putney not only stole he traps but she also released the cats that had been caught.
The investigation into the incident revealed that Putney had been feeding the cats and resented their capture.
Putney was booked into the Franklin County Detention Center and later released.
