FORT SMITH - A longtime employee of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Department was honored with a reception Wednesday. Major Kevin Nickson joined with colleagues to celebrate his upcoming retirement.
“Major Kevin Nickson has faithfully served SCSO for 27 years. He is retiring from service.” the Department said via social media this week. “Major Nickson worked his way up through the ranks over the course of his career. He has served as a detention deputy, patrol deputy, and investigator. One of his duties with SCSO was to serve as PIO. He will be deeply missed.”
The celebration was held at the River Parks Building in Fort Smith.
