OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is raising prices yet again, this time hiking the prices some 2.5% for cash paying customers. The change takes place as of today (Monday).

The changes come courtesy of the “Driving Forward Program” that was instituted by former Governor Mary Fallin in 2015. The new revenues will go to help pay down the construction that widened the Turner Turnpike between Sapulpa and Bristow to three lanes, and also ongoing efforts on the Muskogee Turnpike between Broken Arrow and Webbers Falls.

PikePass customers, a faction that the OTA says make up 78% of its’ customers, will not be affected by the rate hike.

This is the second rise in prices since 2017.
