FORT SMITH - Being a school custodian can be a thankless job in some places, but a group of Northside High School juniors stood bound and determined to not let that happen in their school. On Wednesday of last week, members of the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy made it a point to give back to both the custodial staff, and workers in the school cafeteria.

“The team called Sweetbay for the coffee and McDonalds for hash browns and biscuits. Most of the team brought food such as donuts, pudding and cookies.” the Fort Smith School District noted. “The most inspirational part was the team wrote cards of thanks to the two groups, who are seldom thanked for the work they do to keep the school running.”

According to the district, the NHS JROTC and Col. Meharg donated shirts and goodie bags to show support.
