FORT SMITH - The Fort Smith Police Department said Thursday that the director of the Heart to Heart Foundation will face a felony theft charge after an investigation determined a significant amount of money was missing from the organization’s bank account.
41-year-old Daphne Haas was interviewed Thursday by investigators and arrested on a felony warrant for Theft Of Property Over $25,000.
The Department’s Financial Crimes Division said the investigation began in March when they received a tip about the missing funds.
