FORT SMITH - A new banking center and the completion of a new pizza restaurant top the list of building permits issued by the City of Fort Smith this week.
As reported last month, Sallisaw-based Firstar Bank will soon begin construction on their new banking center at 6200 Massard Road. The project will come at a cost of $3,000,000 and will be coordinated by contractor M Ross Inc.
“This significant investment represents our commitment to being a banking leader in Fort Smith,” Firstar President Lance Smith said in a release “Our new facility will consist of banking professionals who cater to their clients and provide customized service for their unique needs.”
Another high profile project to be completed will be the new Gusano’s Pizza location coming to Fort Smith. Owner Scott Clark secured a permit to finish out the shell space in the new shopping center at 5505 Phoenix Avenue. The contractor is listed as Gateway Construction.
Gusano’s has been a popular pizza chain that has seen continued growth over the last decade, starting in Little Rock. The restaurant now boasts locations in Northwest Arkansas, Joplin, Texarkana, and Pittsburg, Kansas.
