Mulberry River drowning victim identified

The body of a 32-year-old woman who drowned in Franklin County on Clear Creek has been located and identified.




The body of a 32-year-old woman who drowned in Franklin County on Clear Creek has been located and identified, according to Franklin County sheriff Andy Boen.

Thirty-two year old Brandy Rosson jumped into the creek on Sunday and never resurfaced. The area where the drowning occurred was near the Redding Recreation Campground, which is located in a rural area of State Highway 215.

She was located near a low water bridge near the place she went under on Sunday. The area in which she was found is about four miles northeast from the Turner Bend Store on North Highway 23 (The Pig Trail).

A FCSO dispatcher said at 1:42 a.m. Monday morning crews were still out searching and said her call sheets reflected that the first officers and rescue units were dispatched at7:17 p.m on Sunday night

Although the flooding on the Mulberry River and it’s tributaries has subsided considerably the river had escaped it’s banks and crossed portions of State Highway 23 at Turner Bend last week.
