Maxine Stancil, 85, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017.

She was born on October 30, 1931 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Maxine was an employee of Arkansas Best Corporation where she was known for her tasty snacks and kind heart.

She was a member of Grace Community Church, and was involved in numerous civic, church and community activities through-out her life. Maxine continued to be actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and especially so with the Bill Stancil Memorial Golf Tournament.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stancil, in 1991. Maxine is survived by three children: Staci Moore (Wes) of Fort Smith, Sandy Hodges (Rausch) of Forrest City and Bill Stancil (Cami) of Greenwood.

Maxine is further survived by one sister, Melba Justus of Blytheville. Last but not least, Maxine is survived by six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, namely: Collin Moore and Kirby Moore of Fort Smith, Mary Hoshall Hodges and Billy Rauscher Hodges of Forrest City, and Dalton Stancil and Thad Stancil of Greenwood.
