Lucille (Lucy) Blankenship Quertermous, 85, formally from Benton Harbor, Michigan went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2017. Lucy was born on March 22, 1932. Lucy lived at Pink Bud Home for the Golden Years, where she enjoyed her friends and the staff. Pink Bud was very kind and treated her like family.
Preceding Lucy in death was her husband, Charlie Quertermous; her parents, James A. and Florence Blankenship; her siblings, Marvin Blankenship, Garland Blankenship, James L. Blankenship, Nellie Blankenship-West and Allie-Mae Blankenship-Beal.
Lucy is survived by her brother, Bob Blankenship of Greenacres, Florida; her daughter, Shannon Copeland and her grandchildren, Blake and Star Copeland. Lucy had six great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lucy retired from Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She was very talented as she painted, sang, and played the guitar, banjo and harmonica.
For years, Lucy and Charlie belonged to a band that played at a small church on Saturday nights. Lucy would speak about how much she enjoyed playing her instruments, while Charlie spoke about how much he enjoyed the food. They were quite the couple, loved by many.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
