FORT SMITH - Updates to two area hospitality providers lead the charge in the latest round of building permits issued by the City of Fort Smith in the last week.
An interior remodel for the laundromat in the Inn Town Lodge at 301 North 11th Street has led the list of permits, as Rama Hospitality Inc. will invest some $150,000 to make the changes.
The Doubletree Hotel at 700 Rogers Avenue has also been approved to make lighting and ceiling changes, as well as to install two fan coil units outside their conference rooms. The cost to owner Arkansas Hospitality Group LLC will be around $60,000.
Alejandro Fuentes has been authorized to begin building retaining walls at the new Fuentes Plaza from the 7300 to the 7500 blocks of Massard Road. The investment will be around $110,000.
