BELTON, TX - A Fort Smith woman is facing negligent homicide charges stemming from the May 2017 death of a tow truck driver who was hit while working along the side of a major highway.

The Temple Daily Telegram reports that 55-year-old Sybil Warrick was arrested on negligent homicide charges and will be extradited to Bell County, Texas to face a judge next week.

Scott Bowles was working along U.S. Highway 190 when what was believed to be Warrick’s vehicle hit him, amputating his leg in the process. He later died at a Central Texas hospital.
