An hour prior, skies were light and winds were picking up, however, the scenario quickly changed as the heart of the storm overtook the keys.
Irma pummeled South Florida as a category four hurricane, with sustained winds of 130 MPH. The movement as of Sunday morning was west-northwest at 8 MPH.
Current storm tracks have Irma skirting the west coast of Florida, impacting cities like Fort Myers and Tampa over the next twenty-four hours.
