FORT SMITH - A staple of Tex-Mex in the River Valley has changed hands according to an announcement on Facebook this weekend. Fort Smith businessman Will Anderson says that he has taken ownership of the famed Juan’s Mexican Restaurant on Towson Avenue.

“I’m excited to announce that as of December 6th, I’ve taken ownership of Juan’s Mexican Restaurant.” Anderson said Saturday. “Juan’s has been a mainstay in Fort Smith for over 30 years and I’m thrilled for the opportunity to take this great brand and grow it over the next several years. We’re going to be making some changes, but we’re also going to stay true to the spirit of Juan’s. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.”

Anderson is the President of Composite Thought, a software development and project management company. He said in his announcement that he has already brought in someone to lead his management team at the restaurant.

“I’d also like to say thank you to Mark Rogers. Mark will be joining my team as the general manager of Juan’s and will be responsible for implementing my vision for the restaurant, maintaining and improving quality, and providing an ongoing excellent customer experience.” Anderson said.

Juan’s has been in business at their current location for over thirty years according to the Fort Smith Convention and Visitors Bureau.
