The Fort Smith Public Library has an outstanding opportunity for crafty kids in the area, as they are invited to take part in a unique after-school program later today.

“Maker Monday: Jewelry Making will be held at the Dallas Branch Library tomorrow (Monday), from 3:30 - 5 PM.” The Library said on social media over the weekend. “Use your creativity to make simple bracelets and necklaces using the materials provided by the library. Not into wearing jewelry? Come make something for your mom at this FREE after school program for kids and teens of all ages”

Services may suffer during technology upgrade

The library notes that due to a planned upgrade in the facility’s technology infrastructure, that some services may not be available tomorrow.

Officials advise regular customers to plan ahead, as the following services will be unavailable on due to a scheduled update to library software:

* Online card catalog
* Library2 Go (Overdrive)
* Freegal

All other library services should be available, but may be slower than usual. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
