Jo Anna Horton Harrison (Bosky to family and friends) was born on April 6, 1964 in Fort Smith and died June 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was a 1982 graduate of Van Buren High School and 1996 graduate of Westark Community College with a degree in nursing. She spent her life taking care of others and in the last few years she was a live-in caregiver.
Jo Anna was known for her giving heart, often preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for those who had nowhere to go. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her homemade rolls and pies.
Jo Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Harrison, and her father, Joe Horton.
She is survived by her children, Amber Harrison, Glenn Harrison, and Leighann Ryder (Justin); her mother, Glenda Snow and dad, Kenneth Snow; sisters, Becky Neighbors (Jimmie) and Missy Snow. Brothers: Robert Horton (Mim), Lyle Harris, and Kenneth Snow (Gail); seven grandchildren; step-brother and sisters, Galen, Michele, and Deanna, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her lifelong best friend Caletha Hays and family.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith. Viewing will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Celebration of Life will be on Monday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at Midland Heights United Methodist Church, with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Harrison, Joseph Gitthens, Justin Ryder, Billy Ketchum, Rich Defluiter, Mark Turmanjenson, Ryan Wheeler and Brian Fisher.
