Jack Wayne Hixon, 70, of Shady Point, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, in Fort Smith. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a sports coach, a member of the Teamsters and a trucker for Maverick Trucking.
He was the widower of Jean Hixon and preceded in death by one son, Paul Hixon. He is survived by one daughter, Sherri Evola of Fort Smith; his companion, Diane Coke; seven grandchildren, Craig Evola, Chelsie Barnes, Brittany Valdez, Wendy Valdez, Jackie Paul Valdez, Marie Watterson and Nikki Hoffman; three great-grandchildren, Caden Evola, Natalie Evola and Raven Barnes; one sister, Claudell Alvarado of Bentonville; three brothers, William Hixon of Russellville, Stanley Hixon of Fort Smith and Dennis Hixon of Harrison.
Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy.. Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Wednesday before the service starting at 1 p.m.
