Several dog food brands have been recalled after finding pentobarbital and salmonella present. According to the FDA anyone with these recalled foods should dispose of them or return them to the store.
Pentobarbital
If your pet has ingested any of the food containing the drug please look out for symptoms like drowsiness, dizziniess, nausea, jerky eye movements, loss of excitement, loss of balance. The dose present in the recalled product is low and the effected pets are currently being monitored. The J.M. Smucker Company began a voluntary recall on February 16,2018 for the foods listed below. The FDA is currently investigating the supply chain at the company to see where the drug could be introduced to the food.

If you see feed your four legged friend exhibiting symptoms such as lethargy, fever, body aches, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, and diarrhea, seek a veterinarian immediately.
