Video from security cameras show the person who robbed a Poteau convenience store

A Poteau convenience store was robbed just before midnight on Thursday and the Poteau Police Department is asking for the public to convey any information they might have about the incident as the investigation continued on Friday morning.

The unidentified male suspect entered the store at 2017 North Broadway at approximately 11:53 PM brandishing a weapon and demanded money from the clerk on duty.The clerk complied and the suspect escaped in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

 

The clerk described the suspect as approximately 6 feet atll, 200 pouds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray sweatpants and a red and black bandana with designs covering his face. Review of the surveillance footage revealed that the suspect was also wearing sunglasses, light gray low top athletic shoes(possibly Mike) and what appeared to be white latex gloves.

 

The clerk described the gun used in the robbery as a black semi-automatic pistol with possibly two strips of white or clear tape on the sides. There is no vehicle description.

 

The suspect remains at large and the case in under investigation by the detective division of the Poteau Police Department. Investigators are in the process of obtaining a still picture from the video and will release it as soon as it becomes available.
