GREENWOOD - The Greenwood Board of Education approved a recommendation by GJHS Principal, Mr. Aaron Gamble to hire Josh Nation as Assistant Principal for the 2018-19 school year.
Mr. Nation has worked with the Greenwood School District for a total of four years and served as a High School defensive line coach for football, as well as an 8th grade History teacher. He previously served as a Junior High Principal at Green Forest Junior High and was an Assistant Principal at McAlester High School in Oklahoma prior to his move to Arkansas. Mr. Nation has a combined 15 years of educational experience to contribute to the future success of Greenwood Junior High School.
Mr. Nation is an Oklahoma native graduating from Sapulpa High School in 2000, where he was an All State football player. He received his Bachelor’s degree in education from Arkansas Tech University in 2005 and his Master’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2009.
Mr. Nation and his wife Kalina have two sons Trepp and Tayvn, and both attend Greenwood Schools.
Coach Nation will assume his duties as Assistant Principal beginning July 1, 2018.
