Customers, employees, and business colleagues from the Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday morning.

FORT SMITH - A rapidly expanding chain of discount grocery stores now calls Fort Smith home, as the brand new 10Box Cost Plus opened its’ doors with a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning.

The new concept offers customers a chance to get high quality foods at a reduced cost thanks to a unique operating model.

“10Box Cost Plus is a new way to save on groceries and more.” the store says on their website. “Where supermarkets advertise a handful of loss leader items (products sold at or below cost) every week to bring you in their stores and overprice everything else, 10Box sells all items at cost then adds a flat 10% surcharge to cover our operation costs and allow us a nominal profit. While you may see a few items lower at the other stores, we will save you money on thousands of items on which they try to gouge you.”

The 10Box brand has been expanding to several locations across the region in the last year, opening in Conway, Corning, Russellville, Springdale, and Rogers in addition to other stores that have popped up in Oklahoma and Missouri.

The Fort Smith location is open at 3100 Grand Avenue.
