FORT SMITH - Investigators with the Fort Smith Police Department Special Investigations Unit have obtained a warrant for the arrest of 24 year old James Paul Cody Smith, for the charge of Failure to comply with the Sex Offender Registration Act. Smith is a Level 2 Sex Offender and failed to make contact with Investigators to advise them of his permanent residence. Detective Jeff Mitchell with the Fort Smith Police Department Special Investigations Unit needs to speak with Mr. Smith.

Individuals with information may also call Crimestoppers at 78-CRIME, where any information leading to an arrest in this case may also be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.
