UPDATE: The Fort Smith Police Department has made an arrest in this case.

FORT SMITH- Police say they are searching for a man who swapped his tennis shoes for boots at a local retail store and then left without paying.
The images show below show the male suspect sporting the boots which employees at Cavender’s on 7605 Rogers Ave say he was not wearing when he entered the store. The suspect allegedly fabricated a story about leaving his money outside and then left the premises on a silver cruiser with a bug shield which can be seen pictured below.
