A Fort Smith woman was killed in a two vehicle collision this morning (Thursday) in Fort Smith in the vicinity of the Links Apartment complex in the 5100 block of Zero Street, according to the Arkansas State Police.
A Lincoln sedan driven by Anne Marie Elliot Nuzzi was pulling out from the apartment complex when it was broadsided by a white Dodge pick-up truck that was traveling east on Zero Street.
A four year old minor, thought to be the daughter of the victim, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Alcohol was reportedly found in the truck and the male driver of the second vehicle was taken to the Fort Smith Police Department for a breathalyzer test to determine if that played a factor in the accident.
According to the FSPD, the incident is still under active investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
Traffic was rerouted around the scene of the accident for almost two hours this morning.
