Fort Smith police are once again reaching out in an effort to identify persons of interest in a local crime.
On Thursday, May 25, at approximately 1:14 p.m., a resident of Fort Smith dropped her wallet while walking in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 8301 Rogers Ave.
Soon after realizing her wallet was missing, the woman spoke with Wal-Mart loss prevention personnel.
Surveillance footage showed two men walking by her waet and one man stopped and picked it up. Soon after the theft, several unlawful transactions were made using the woman’s credit card including purchases at Sears, Cheers Liquor store and a Citgo convenience store.
Det. Troy Wiliams with the FSPD is attempting to identify the two men in the picture.
