An 18-year-old Crawford County man remains in the custody at the Crawford County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash bond in conjunction with the rape of a 12-year-old Mulberry girl that occurred earlier this month.
Gavin Caelum Parks stands accused of the assault of the youth in the bedroom of her home on June 9.
According to sources, Parks was an extended family member in the home in which the girl lived and had been living with the family for the past three years.
No hearing or court date is listed on Arkansas Court Connect for Parks, but a jailer at the Crawford County detention Center confirmed on Sunday that he remained incarcerated in lieu of the bond.
