FORT SMITH - Outstanding students from across the area will be honored by community leaders at an event tonight. The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 56th Annual Honors Banquet.
“Each year the Chamber and it’s Education Division partner with our local high schools to host a banquet for seniors who will graduate with honors this May.” the Chamber said in a release. “This is an outstanding way to recognize both the honor student and their parents for all of their hard work.”
The Chamber says they can’t do it without the help of the community.
“Without great sponsors, we cannot raise the level of education in our region and promote excellence by giving them a small recognition for their achievements.” the Chamber noted.
The event takes place from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
