A stolen cell phone at a Mulberry convenience store led law enforcement officials to an Ozark man who has been booked into the Franklin County Detention Center on theft of property charges after he was found in possession of a stolen pick-up truck and ATV and trailer on Wednesday.
Kyle Medlock, 21, of Ozark, was developed as a suspect in the theft of a telephone from a the convenience store. Medlock was traced to a residence north of Mulberry where a dark green GMC pick-up truck that had been stolen in Ozark on Monday was recovered. The recovered ATV and trailer had been stolen from a Mulberry residence.
The investigation led officers to the residence and the recovery of the stolen property and Medlock was traced to the home of a relative in Ozark where he evaded capture. He was later arrested in Coal Hill.
A dispatcher with the Franklin County Detention Center said on Thursday that since Medlock was being held on felony charges that he would have to see a judge before any bond would be set in the case.
