A phone call about a suspicious object turned out to be the body of a white female in Polk County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to press release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the body was found by deputies responding to the call in a creek just southeast of Cove.
The body, which was recovered after deputies spent several hours on the scene, was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the identity of the body and the cause of death.
This incident is under investigation by various law enforcement agencies.
