Nine fatalities last week, including one that claimed the life of an Alma man in an apparent road rage incident, pushed the death total on Arkansas highways and byways to 193 for the year.

An Alma man died in an incident n the east bound land of I40 just before noon on Wednesday.

Police say that Jason Clock Miller of Alma died when the 2007 Yamaha he was driving east on Intersate 40 slammed into the back of a 1998 Dodge truck driven by Lawrence Finn on Wednesday.

Finn reportedly slammed on his brakes abruptly while driving in front of Miller, who he claimed was tailgating him.

The incident occurred neat the seven-mile marker of I40 at 11:24 on Wednesday according to the fatal crash summary posted by trooper Matt Price.

Aurora K .Cisneros, 21, of Searcy died Friday in the wee hour of the morning when the 2008 Nisan she was driving northbound on US Highway 67 at the 32-mile marker in White county left the roadway, struck several trees and overturned ejecting her from the car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brittney Stringer, 28, of Malvern died in a Hot Springs County accident on Thursday when the Kawasaki motorcycle she was driving near the Ridge Road and Cloud Road intersection collided with a Toyota Camry that was merging into traffic.

A preliminary fatal crash summary from the ASP named Jacqulyn McCabe, 30, as the victim of a truck accident that happened in Chicot County on Wednesday.

Investigators said that a Toyota Solara driven by McCabe of Cabot crossed over the center line of Highway 82 about one east of the US 65 junction and struck a east bound 207 Freightliner head on. EMS personnel pronounced McCabe dead at the scene.

Twenty-nine year old Michael Douglas of Marvel City died on Tuesday when the 1985 Chevy Blazer he was driving south on State Highway 49 in Phillips County was struck head-on by a 2008 Silverado traveling north. Douglas was taken to the Helena Regional Hospital where we later perished.

David Jauch, 49 of Vilonia was traveling west on Highway 64 at Walker Road shortly before 9 p.m.Tuesday when he failed to negotiate a right curve and veered off the road, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Jauch’s motorcycle, a 1996 Harley Davidson, then struck the cable barrier in the median. Jauch sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

Authorities described the weather as clear and the road as dry at the time of the accident.
Arlene Crawford of Kennett, Missouri was killed on Tuesday in an accident just after 11:30 a.m. in Greene County.

Crawford, 75, was driving a 2011 Ford east on Highway 412 Bypass when she crossed into westbound traffic, went back on the shoulder again and hit a guard rail before striking a 2016 Peterbilt tractor trailer driving west. The accident happened inside the city limits of Paragould.

Lisa Patterson of Ravenden Springs was fatally injured in an accident in which her vehicle crashed off the roadway on Monday around 9:00 p.m. just west of Highway 90 in Sharp County.

Police reported that 53-year-old Patterson was driving a 2003 Ford eastbound along Bear Bluff Trail, south of Ravenden Springs. As she did so, in events not yet clear, the vehicle suddenly lost control and went off the side of the road. It crashed into a ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Michael D. Looney of Miller County died last Sunday in the 6100 block of East 9th Street/ Highway 82 in Texarkana.

Looney was driving a 2009 Tahoe east on Highway 92, ran odd he road narrowly missing on vehicle then collided with a Ford F-50 traveling the opposite direction. He was initially taken to Wadley Hospital in Texarkana but was transferred to UAMS where he died of his injuries.
