FORT SMITH- Severe flooding in the region has seriously impacted Arkansas Blood Institute’s supply of life-saving blood. You can help rebuild the inventory for the summer by donating blood with Arkansas Blood Institute at the 36th Annual M*A*S*H Bash, on Friday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Arkansas Blood Institute’s Fort Smith Donor Center, located at 5300 S. U Street.
Those who are healthy and aged 16 or older* are encouraged to donate blood and will receive collectors’ edition 36th Annual M*A*S*H Bash T-shirts. All donors receive one free admission to Magic Springs Theme & Water Park.*
Donors who stop by the Arkansas Blood Institute blood drive to celebrate the patriotic spirit of the classic TV show M*A*S*H will also get custom dog tags, a squeezie toy grenade, and the chance to win hourly door prizes.
M*A*S*H Bash donors will enjoy free hamburgers or hot dogs with sides, health screenings and Donor Rewards Points, redeemable for merchandise and gift certificates at Arkansas Blood Institute’s online store.
“M*A*S*H Bash is a long-standing tradition that generates a lot of community spirit,” said Danny Cervantes, Donor Recruitment Manager of Arkansas Blood Institute – Fort Smith. “With so many of our friends and neighbors affected by flooding, now is a good time to get together, and have some fun, while making sure our local hospitals have the life-saving blood they need to help patients get through the summer.”
Arkansas Blood Institute’s volunteer donors provide every drop of blood needed by patients in more than 40 hospitals statewide.
