FORT SMITH - Sebastian County Judge David Hudson announced on Monday that based on President Trump’s declaration of a disaster in the area, residents affected by the recent flooding can soon begin applying for individual assistance.

“River Valley residents affected by the 2019 flooding can apply to FEMA online at DisasterAssistance.Gov, or you can call 1-800-621-3362,” Hudson said in a release. “Also, a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will open in the area soon. Homeowners and renters are encouraged to apply.”

Hudson reminds residents that the Flood Relief Center is still open in the old Sears store in Central Mall from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Those needing assistance can call 1-800-583-3370.
