FORT SMITH- A restaurant chain that has become popular in places such as Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Northwest Arkansas has announced they are bringing a new location to our city!
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, the Louisiana-based company known for its ONE LOVE – quality chicken finger meals – just broke ground on its first Fort Smith restaurant at 7501 Rogers Ave.
The new restaurant will replace a former Hardees location that recently closed down and will be the fifth Raising Cane’s to open in Arkansas as well as the 459th location for the company.
Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 and named for his yellow Labrador, Raising Cane, the popular restaurant chain is known for their 100% premium white meat chicken tenderloins which are marinated, hand-battered and cooked to order. The restaurant is also popular for items such as crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, freshly brewed sweet tea and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Caniacs in Fort Smith a Raising Cane’s to call their own,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Jason Leonard.
“We have found the perfect location, so our next step will be to assemble the perfect crew. Along with sharing our ONE LOVE with everyone in the area, our team will be dedicated to getting involved with schools and organizations throughout the community.”
The company says they plan on hiring around 70 crew members for various positions. No information is yet available on when the new restaurant is set to open.
