FORT SMITH- Police report they are searching for a man suspected in a fraud investigation.
The man pictured below is suspected of stealing a check from a victim’s mailbox, scratching out the payee section, placing his own name on the check, and altering the amount.
The bank reportedly did not honor his attempt at cashing the stolen check, but investigators would still like to speak with the man.
