FORT SMITH - As recovery efforts begin in the city of Fort Smith, Department of Sanitation Director Kyle Foreman is cautioning residents that they should know what they are being billed for by contractor facilitating cleanup services.
“DOS is waiving disposal fees for residents and contractors performing work for residents in flooded neighborhoods and areas of Fort Smith and Sebastian County. This benefit is to remain in place through Saturday June 29th,” the City said. “As such, a contractor should not be charging you, the resident, any disposal-related fee.”
